A. The federal government does not have any firm regulations regarding how often you need to pay your nanny. However, many states do have such regulations. For example, Illinois requires that employees, including nannies, be paid at least semi-monthly. Connecticut, on the other hand, requires that nannies be paid weekly. Remember, the family can always agree to pay nanny more frequently than state law requires; however, family is not allowed to pay less frequently.
